This project combines two separate but complementary assignments focused on the study and application of typography. The first component is a history poster centered on the Baskerville typeface, highlighting its origins, defining features, and historical significance within the evolution of type. The poster integrates type anatomy and terminology, serving both as an educational piece and a visual celebration of John Baskerville’s legacy.

The second component is a typographic specimen book, created to explore principles of hierarchy, contrast, alignment, and composition. The book showcases multiple typefaces across a series of structured exercises, including expressive typography, grid systems, and side-by-side comparisons. All text was provided, allowing the focus to remain on layout, typesetting, and visual communication.

Together, these pieces reflect a comprehensive study of typography—merging historical context with technical practice and design execution.
